Torino : 54° Edizione della Biennale di Venezia – Padiglione Tibet
Exemplary enterprise as the Tibet Pavilion arises when the creativity of the artists joins the creative solidarity of the support groups.
This kind of creative support to the Tibetan cause, in the midst of provocation and proposal, works to reanimate the attention of the public opinion towards the enormous pains inflicted to Tibetan People.
Unfortunately after the revolt of March 2008 all the media avoided to talk about the tragedy that were consuming on the Roof of the World and, in the indifference of the free world, the Chinese regime could stifle in the blood every yearning of freedom, deport millions of farmers and nomadic shepherds, marginalize the native Tibetans in the society.
Besides, the international institutions, unable to stop the violence of the occupants, today won’t hear of sustain the fight of liberation of Tibetan people and the national governments only are anxious don’t jeopardize the business of the firms that bolster the regime.
So Tibetans now can rely only on our support, on the support of the civil society, to go on in their battle against the Chinese colonial domination.
And the presence of so many friends and artists today in Turin, show that we don’t want to drop Tibetans in such a battle in the name of the common values of freedom and social justice.
