Day 17th
The day 17th is rest day for the marchers after covering so many kilometres and getting up early in the morning. However the day 17th the marcher got up early in the morning and went to the meditation hall. They taught us about the meditation and spirituality which most are related to the Buddhism. At 7-30 am to 8-30 was time for Break Fast and till 11-00 am some were busy for washing clothes and some are debating. At 11-00 everyone gather in the hall for workshop about the spirituality. The lunch was provided at 12-30 pm then its time for real break till 8-30pm. They also served the tea at 3-30pm. At 7-30 the dinner was served to marcher.
It’s the exciting time for the marcher as well as the staffs of Brahma Kumari from 8-30 pm to 11-00pm which was culture exchange programme. They were very keen to see the Tibetan Culture Dance. Mr. Lhakpa Tsering the Culture Secretary of Tibetan Youth Congress led the TSAM students for Group Dance (Gorshay) afterwards some young talented from TSAM entertained the crowed. Again Mr. Lhakpa La sang the Opera song of King Dhemikuden. The TSAM students also presented Tibetan and Hindi group song called Phayul Maypai Punda Tso and Hum Hai Vikasi. Then many marchers sang the patriotic song. But the most popular song of the evening was “WE SHALL OVER COME” in the three languages Tibetan, Hindi and English.
Though we are on Tibet’s Independence March, but this opportunity comes by coincidence and we the Tibetan Youth Congress members loves to take such an opportunity which we gave awareness about the Tibetan Culture Dances, Songs and Opera.
During the two nights halt at Brahma Kumari, all the Break Fast, Lunch, Tea, Dinner and Accommodation was provided by the Brahma Kumari Retreat Centre for Free of Cost.
