Tibet : Tibetan writer faces second arrest
A Tibetan writer who was briefly arrested in March last year has been arrested again on Monday.Dokru Tsultrim was detained from Gomang monastery in Ngaba County.His friend Kalsang Tsultrim, native of Bazong was arrested last Thursday Officials of the Public Security Bureau arrived at the monastery and demanded to see Tsultrim's laptop computer, and searched his room, Dokru Choedak, Dokru Tsultrim's relative living in exile here, told the Voice of Tibet radio service. He refused to show his laptop but the PSB officials allegedly found some other documents from his room. The authorities have not shown any arrest warrants for both Tsultrim and Kalsang. have led to his arrest," he said. Family members and relatives of Dokru Tsultrim have been barred from visiting him. He is currently held at a detention centre in Barkham in Ngaba County. Dokru Tsultrim was arrested in March last year for alleged anti government writings and freed a month later. He was accused of writing two articles that criticized the Chinese government and supported the “separatist forces of the Dalai Lama”. The publication of his private journal in Tibetan language called “Khawai Tsesok” was also ceased.Tsultrim was born in Mangra County in Tsolho Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, he joined Ngaba Gomang monastery in 2005.
