Tibet : A Tibetan orphanage school closed by chinese authorities

China just closed down the 'Gangjong Sherig Shedhe Woekar Ling' orphanage school this month and arrested two of its teachers. This school counted almost 50 students orphans and semi-orphans from the nearby regions.
The reason was school's strict adherence to teaching Tibetan language and culture instead of following the chinese school programs.Last month, one same event happened in Karzde region of eastern Tibet. Chineses shutdown a two-decade old Tibetan school 'Khadrok Jamtse Rokten School' and arrested two of its most senior teachers.

Last year, the principal of "Gangjong sherig shedhe woekar Ling", Atsun Tsundue Gyatso was arrested by Chinese authorities, as he authored a book on Tibet's history and the current situation inside Tibet.

In 2010, 2011, and even today thousands of school students are protesting a Chinese government decision to replace Tibetan by Chinese language as the medium of instruction in Tibetan schools.
