A young Tibetan was arrested by Chinese security officials after he allegedly distributed a large number of pro-Tibet leaflets in his native town of Datoe last week.Gedun, 21, was arrested soon after the protest while Monlam, his accomplice, managed to flee the scene.The duo tried to flee on their bike from the protest site but police fired shots on Gendun’s bike and was arrested.The incident reportedly happened on March 31 and the fliers that they distributed contain messages of pro-independence slogans.There is no immediate information about the two Tibetans in the aftermath of their protest. While Monlam remains at large, Police have not divulged any formation about Gedun’s whereabouts to the relatives.
