Tibet : 2 Tibetans arrested in Sertha

Two Tibetans have been arrested Sunday night (May 16) by Chinese police in Sertha County, Sertha Choeying.Kalden and Sonam Tobden from Sertha Khekor village were taken into police custody after they carried out a protest demonstration demanding freedom for Tibet and the return of the exile Tibetan leader Dalai Lama to Tibet. The duo threw leaflets printed with slogans of their demands in the air. As they were pasting the leaflets on walls in the street they were arrested by the police.The duo are currently held at Sertha County detention center. Attempts by their family members and relatives to visit them at the detention center turned futile as the authorities did not allow them.
