The last act of the tragi-comedy put on the stage by the Chinese Communist Party today at Palazzo Madama.

The political officers of C.C.P. and their acolytes of the would be Autonomous Region of Tibet, troubled about the protests that joined the ridiculous performances of their company, rallied the members of Italian Parliament, sure to persuade them that the charges of the “violent separatists” were unfounded.

At first the meeting should have held in a roman hotel but, fearing new protests and/or not yielding attendances, they preferred to ask their “friend” Lamberto Dini for provide with all possible speed a hall in Palazzo Madama, where they could be sheltered from possible protest, leaving to their Italian lackeys the unpleasant work to bar the way to the representatives of the Tibetan Community in Italy.
As far as we know, no one did anything to prevent that the vice president of the Tibetan Community in Italy was driven out from the hall by force, no one objected the Chinese request to silence a free voice that could have show the falsity of Chinese propaganda.
Fortunately between the few deputies there was mrs. Laura Cima that, scandalized and not at all frightened by the Chinese scornful attitude, frankly expressed the position once shared by all the Parliamentary Group for Tibet and ratified in the motion passed by a great majority in our Parliament.
After this last act we hope that finally the curtain falls on a humiliating performance that humiliated the Tibetan culture and history, offended the democratic conscience of our country and discredited our institutions.
