Police Kill 6 Uighurs in East Turkestan

Chinese police investigating a spate of attacks this month in the Xinjiang autonomous region killed six suspects and arrested three others.
An exile group accused the police Saturday of shooting the suspects, members of the Uighur ethnic group, after they surrendered. The police say they encountered the suspects near Kashgar on Friday, the official Xinhua News Agency reported. A policeman and a local militia member were wounded, the report said.
