Honoring 16 Million Chinese Resigning from CCP
Son of famous defector Jia Jia discusses the CCP's collapse
Ladies and gentlemen, I am Jia Kuo. 1
We're gathered here today to celebrate the mass withdrawal from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). It is a truly an exciting event. First of all, I'd like to express my sincere gratitude toward the 16 million brave Chinese people who have formally resigned from the CCP. Secondly, on behalf of my father, Jia Jia, I'd like to thank those who've supported and helped him. I'd also like to express special gratitude to the great Falun Gong practitioners. You are the pride of Chinese people. Thank you very much.
Seeking democracy and freedom, my father left mainland China for Taiwan. From there he went to Hong Kong and then Thailand. Eventually he found himself in Taiwan once more. During his journey, my father has witnessed events both mysterious and dramatic, uplifting and heartbreaking Yet throughout his travels, two things were to make a profound impression on him.
One was noticing how deeply the CCP has affected and thoroughly infiltrated otherwise democratic countries—an unfortunate truth that causes him great pain. But my father is also inspired by the courage he has found in those around the world who have stood up for truth and offered him assistance in his search. Seeing 16 million Chinese take this stand further strengthens my father's will to fight for democracy and freedom.
In China, our motherland, 80 percent of the population is unable to obtain basic needs such as education, medical care, employment or retirement, as the CCP talks about heartlessly denies people these basic human rights. When Chinese people seek democracy and freedom, they repeatedly face brutal suppression and persecution. Each year, there are between 80 to 100 thousand protests and demonstrations in China.
This dispute between the Chinese people and the communist regime continues to intensify and has reached its peak. The level of desire for democracy and freedom is strongest ever seen in Chinese history. Ending the CCP's tyranny and implementing democracy in China has become a crucial mission entrusted to each Chinese person.
My father has personally witnessed this mass exodus from CCP membership in China. In fact, only a few top CCP officials are actually communist. The majority of communist party members have long prepared for the party's collapse. They use their power to amass large sums of money while moving their families overseas. I hope that kindhearted people can ensure my father's residence in a free country.
With your help and support, he will continue to promote these ideals. He will strive to implement democracy in China, joining the people who've resigned from the CCP and who look forward to democracy. Thank you.
