Hanno già cambiato due volte la data ma fonti della resistenza tibetana riferiscono che dovrebbe transitare dalla capitale il 18 o il 19 Giugno.

Continuano intanto le sessioni di “rieducazione patriottica” in tutti i monasteri ed i monaci che rifiutano l’abiura vengono immediatamente arrestati.
Solo nel monastero di Toe-Shelkar ne sono stati arrestati 13.

China rights lawyers say licenses blocked after Tibet call

BEIJING, May 30 (Reuters) - Chinese authorities have refused to renew the licenses of two outspoken human rights lawyers, the lawyers and an international group said on Friday, claiming the refusal was retaliation for speaking out about Tibet.
Teng Biao and Jiang Tianyong belong to a loose network of Chinese lawyers who often defend dissidents and protesters, and in April they signed a letter urging full legal protections for Tibetans accused of protests and deadly rioting in March.

Changes in Chinese Regime's Tibet Issues Coordination Team

China's highest leading organization on dealing with Tibet, the Central Coordination Team on Tibet Issues, has had a change in its membership, according to reports by the Hong Kong based Information Center for Chinese Human Rights and Democracy. Four old members have withdrawn from the team and five new members have joined.

Chinese authorities in the Tibet Autonomous Region this week detained five monks in connection with a series of small blasts during massive anti-Chinese protests in late March.
KATHMANDU — Chinese authorities in Tibet have detained five monks in connection with a series of small blasts during massive anti-Chinese protests in the region earlier this year, Tibetan sources said.

One Tibetan source said the five, detained May 24, “were alleged to have been involved in some explosions in the area.” The explosions are said to have occurred April 6-7, and no casualties were reported.

The Tibetan Centre for Human Rights and Democracy (TCHRD) has documented numerous cases of protests particularly led by the nuns of various nunneries in Kardze County in the past few weeks. According to the latest information received by the TCHRD from a reliable source confirmed that, three nuns of Dragkar Nunnery and a female student were arrested by the Kardze County Public Security Bureau (PSB) officials for staging a protest yesterday.

The children had printed a small book on their project and asked one of Karmapa’s entourage to present it to him.

Un gruppo di tibetani appartenenti ad alcune ONG con sede in India ha organizzato l’iniziativa denominata”In Marcia verso il Tibet” per manifestare contro l’occupazione illegale del loro Paese.
La manifestazione pacifica è stata sino ad ora seguita da migliaia di persone che intendevano esprimere solidarietà ai rifugiati e, per quanto ci è dato sapere, non ci sono stati problemi di ordine pubblico.
Stamane invece i responsabili delle ONG sono stati arrestati con il pretesto del “disturbo della quiete pubblica” ed i loro automezzi sequestrati.

Chinese Interim Government Seeks Justice for Earthquake Victims

Since the Sichuan earthquake on May 12, 2008, much evidence has surfaced showing that the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) decision to conceal its foreknowledge of the impending quake from the general public caused a great number of otherwise avoidable casualties.
In light of this evidence, the Chinese Interim Government is calling for the people responsible for concealing this quake warning to be named and, when possible, brought to justice.

China arrests four nuns in Kardze protest

The Chinese authorities had arrested four Tibetan nuns for staging a protest in Kardze County Kardze "TAP", Sichuan Province, according to reliable information received by the Tibetan Centre for Human Rights and Democracy (TCHRD).
Around 6 PM (Beijing Standard Time), 22 May 2008, the four Tibetan nuns of Nyimo Gaysey Nunnery in Tehor Kardze County had staged a peaceful protest at the County government headquarters. They were protesting against the recent crackdown of peaceful Tibetan protesters and the illegal detention of Tibetan people in the Chinese prisons.

March to Tibet Update: 19 Marchers Released

The 19 Tibetan marchers detained since May 22nd and 23rd have been released. March coordinator Lobsang Yeshi and core marcher Tenzin Tsundue were released last night and briefly taken to a local hospital. They had staged a hunger strike since they were first arrested on May 22nd and required medical care, but were subsequently dropped at the campsite. The other 17 marchers, who were refusing food, were taken back to the campsite early this morning.
The marchers are at the same campsite in Banspatan, Uttarakhand State.

Dalai Lama Says Tibetans Losing Faith In Talks: FT

SINGAPORE (Reuters) - Tibetans are losing faith in the Dalai Lama's conciliatory "middle way" because of China's refusal to strike a deal with him over the region's future, the exiled spiritual leader said in an interview published on Monday.
Speaking to the Financial Times during a tour of Europe, the 72-year-old Nobel laureate said he hoped the Chinese government would begin serious negotiations with his representatives over greater autonomy for Tibet in a few weeks' time.

For many days the Tibetan truckers of Tawu have being on strike to protest against the Chinese occupation, the brutality of the occupants and the limits imposed to their journeys.
This is the first strike organized by Tibetans that was joined by the majority of the more than 2000 truckers of the area, in the Sichuan region.
Now we fear that many of them will be arrested for their courage to demonstrate against unbearable conditions of life and work.

Sosteniamo la giusta lotta degli autotrasportatori tibetani !

Da molti giorni gli autotrasportatori tibetani di Tawu sono in sciopero per protestare contro l’occupazione cinese, la brutalità degli occupanti e le limitazioni imposte ai loro movimenti.
Si tratta del primo sciopero organizzato dai tibetani che ha visto l’adesione della maggioranza degli oltre 2.000 autotrasportatori della regione situata nella provincia del Sichuan.
Ora temiamo che molti di loro vengano arrestati per aver trovato il coraggio di manifestare contro condizioni di vita e di lavoro intollerabili.

Chinese police have detained a political dissident because of remarks he made about the government's handling of the Sichuan earthquake, according to his family and supporters.Guo Quan, the founder of the China Democracy party, was seized outside his home by seven or eight police officers four days ago. They searched his house and confiscated his computer."They waited outside and caught him as he was taking our child to school," said his wife Li Jing.

NEW YORK – The Falun Dafa Information Center has obtained a recorded phone conversation with New York City’s Chinese Consul General, Mr. Peng Keyu, in which he confirms his role in organizing a mob of several-hundred Chinese immigrants to assail Falun Gong practitioners in Flushing, New York, over the past four days.

The recording was made on Thursday May 22 by an undercover investigator and lasts for 5 minutes and 7 seconds. During the conversation, Peng appears to boast of his involvement, saying “Oh indeed, we have done it.”
